The moment has finally arrived.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-5) have a chance to officially clinch its first postseason berth since the 2007 season with a win over the Detroit Lions (5-9) on Saturday. How ironic that the Bucs’ best playoff chances in a decade will come down to Detroit, again?
Regardless, this Week 16 matchup looms large despite the opponent. We saw last week that anything can happen if the Bucs don’t come ready to play.
The Lions may be 5-9, but they have a veteran quarterback in Matthew Stafford and he can still sling it. You never count out a team with a good quarterback. I’m sure the Bucs won’t.
There are still some questions heading into the game. Will Ronald Jones II play? What’s to be made of the Lions coaching staff and their lengthy injury report? What’s up with Carlton Davis III’s knee?
And then, there’s still a game to talk about.
Join me, Jason Curtis and Jeremy Reisman of SB Nation’s Pride of Detroit as we preview this week’s game and hit all the major talking points.
