Tampa Bay is riding a two-game winning streak and pushing for the postseason. Over the past two weeks, the Buccaneers have turned in two solid performances and have taken crucial divisional wins over, the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons. This week, the Bucs will be pitted against another NFC team fighting for a spot in the playoffs— The Green Bay Packers. Here are some things that could, should, and will play out during the game—

Rachaad White could have a career day.

The Buccaneers’ back is coming off three-straight games of good production. Against the Indianapolis Colts, White ran for 100 yards on just 15 carries— Good for an impressive 6.7 yards per rush. Two weeks ago, in a monsoon, he posted a 4.2 yards per carry average, on 20 attempts, with a touchdown. Last week, White turned in a highlight-reel touchdown reception, but he also put together another 100-yard outing.

Green Bay’s run defense has been putrid this season. The Packers are the owners of a bottom-five rush defense— Good news for Tampa.

On any given week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would love to feature their running game with Rachaad White as the motor for their offense. Against a team that struggles defending the run, Bucs fans can expect to see a large portion of Sunday’s game revolve around Baker Mayfield handing the ball off to Rachaad White and co. White’s career best, in a single game, is 105 yards, last year against Seattle. Coming off a performance that was just 4 yards shy of topping that mark, a new single-game high could certainly be within reach.

No matter the outcome, the game should be close.

Both the Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers are 6-7. Tampa Bay has played in relatively close games all season. All but five of the Bucs’ matchups this year have been decided by 10 points or less. Almost identically, only four Green Bay Packers’ games have been determined by more than 10 points.

Bucs at Packers is very likely to come down to a few key plays and should be a close contest.

Tampa Bay is on a two game winning streak. While the team's back-to-back wins have been absolutely critical for the Buccaneers’ postseason hopes, due the nature of wins— coming against divisional opponents, the NFC South is not a particularly strong division. The Packers may have the same 6-7 record as the Buccaneers, however, they have taken a different route to a parallel destination. The Packers will take the field Sunday as winners of three of their last four and as a team with a few signature victories on their 2023 résumé. Green Bay has taken down the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and they also put the NFL world on notice with a Thanksgiving day win over the Detroit Lions. Jordan Love and the Packers have had a respectable season and have proven themselves to be a good team— A win this week, will be a win well earned for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
