The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense looked decent enough to think they would control the game. Good enough to overshadow any potential miscues by the defense as the Cowboys offense has moved the ball well. Touchdown receptions by Chris Godwin and Rob Gronkowski almost assured that to be the case.
However, things looked shaky halfway through the second quarter for Tampa Bay and their offense when they were up 14-7.
A fumble by running back Ronald Jones gave the ball to Dallas deep inside Buccaneers territory, which the Cowboys turned into a touchdown. A missed extra point kept the Bucs in the lead by one.
On Tampa Bay’s following drive, a screen pass from Tom Brady bounced off the hands of running back Leonard Fournette resulting in a Dallas interception. Tampa Bay’s defense held the Cowboys offense to a field goal giving them a 16-14 lead.
Brady would respond to the Cowboys field goal by throwing a 47-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Antonio Brown on their drive that followed.
Tampa Bay leads Dallas 21-16 heading into the locker room. Enjoy the second half and each other’s company in the comments below!
