The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh has been activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. In addition, the Buccaneers waived kicker Jose Borregales.

Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles spoke to the media today and when asked about Suh, Bowles said his veteran lineman is getting ready for Thursday night.

“Right now, he’s the new guy in camp. He just got here. We have tape on his helmet and put Suh on it and see what he can do,” Bowles said. “It’s tough. We’re going through different times. The Cowboys are going through it and we’re going through it. We can only trust that he can be the guy he was, and he has a couple of days to get himself ready and we’ll go from there.”

However, defensive tackle Vita Vea was able to share a bit more as he said Suh has been working out and attending zoom meetings.

“He looks good. He’s been working out at his house, staying in shape and he’s been in our Zoom call meetings. He hasn’t really missed a step.”
