The Buccaneers are in need of help for their secondary. Today, they are taking an extra step in the direction of trying to find said help for a unit that has been taken apart by opposing quarterbacks so far in 2021.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Tampa Bay is opening its doors to veteran cornerback Richard Sherman for a visit which could potentially lead to signing Sherman.

Sherman, 33, has gotten interest from his former teams in the 49ers and Seahawks. The Panthers have recently also expressed interest in the Pro Bowler. However, it appears that the Buccaneers have the bigger chance of landing Sherman especially after they freed up cap space over the weekend by restructuring the contract for veteran lineman Ali Marpet.
Head coach Bruce Arians was asked about the team’s interest in the veteran corner and Arians admitted the team has inquired about his availability. For now, we’ll have to wait and see if the Bucs pull the trigger on potentially making Sherman the newest member of the Buccaneers while adding much needed help to a banged up secondary.
