Things got heated between the Buccaneers and Titans

The temperature wasn’t the only thing rising on the field.

It’s a ridiculously hot summer in Tampa. The temperature around here has felt over 100 degrees at times. It didn’t quite get there on Thursday, but it got real hot on the field between the Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans during their joint practice session.

And it wasn’t the temperature this time.

There were several skirmishes between both sides at the Advent Health Training Center. At one point during practice, Bucs wide receiver Antonio Brown got into it with Titans cornerback Chris Jackson. Both were reportedly mouthing off at each other before Brown managed to rip Jackson’s helmet off and land a punch.

When asked about the fighting during practice, head coach Bruce Arians said there will be no punishment handed down for fighting.

“Fighting? I didn’t see any fighting,” said Arians via the Tampa Bay Times, adding Brown would face no punishment. “A lot of pushing and shoving, but I didn’t see any fists.... Waving flies.”

Other Tampa Bay players that were also involved in separate “pushing and shoving” moments throughout the afternoon were linebacker Devin White — who apparently suplexed a Titans players, running back Leonard Fournette, and center Ryan Jensen.

I think it’s safe to say these players have been dying to literally hit another team.
