Buccaneers announce the signing of first round pick Joe Tryon

The rookie signs his first professional contract.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed outside linebacker Joe Tryon, the team’s first-round selection (No. 32 overall) in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Tryon (6-5, 262) spent three seasons at Washington (2017-19), playing in 25 games, while making 14 starts. Over his career, he recorded 61 tackles (14.5 for loss), nine sacks and two passes defensed, earning second-team All-Pac-12 honors during his final season (2019). Tryon did not participate in the 2020 season.

A native of Renton, Washington, Tryon wears No. 9 for Tampa Bay.
