The Match is back! Although we won’t get the humorous one liners of Peyton Manning or the mystique that is Tiger Woods, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback Tom Brady is once again teaming up with his friend Phil Mickelson who just became the oldest player to ever win a PGA major last weekend.
On July 6, the two will team up to face 2020 US Open champion Bryce Dechambeau and reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers - who has been the topic of trade speculation for months, ever since his post game press conference following the NFC Championship loss to Brady’s Buccaneers.

Of course, Brady - who has really let his personality and humor shine over the last year on social media - was quick to remind Rodgers of that loss and the controversial decision to kick a field goal rather than attempt a fourth down conversion late in the fourth quarter;
Two old guys against the young bucks @PhilMickelson. @b_dechambeau better get used to laying up because we know @AaronRodgers12 isn’t going for it https://t.co/f1DQsFn41U

Now, I’m not sure how young of a “buck” Aaron Rodgers is, but comparatively he is seven years younger than Brady.
During the pandemic in 2020 when all sports were put on hold, Brady and Mickelson teamed up against Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods - who would go on to win the match - in order to raise money for Covid relief. Mickelson hasn’t forgotten the loss and is out for redemption;
It’s game time! My partner @tombrady and I are back and ready to settle some unfinished business. See you in Montana @AaronRodgers12 @b_dechambeau https://t.co/gCidYwsfMr

The match will air on TNT on Tuesday, July 6 beginning at 5:00 p.m. ET from Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana. The coverage will also include digital and social interaction with Bleacher Report and House of Highlights according to the press release.
