Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady defied odds last season with wining his seventh Super Bowl in his very first season with his new team in Tampa Bay, and doing so at 43 years old.

His 2020 regular season performance earned him praise from Pro Football Focus as the analytics site ranks Brady the second best quarterback for the upcoming 2021 season.

Brady capped an incredible 2020 season with his seventh Super Bowl win, and his overall performance was the catalyst for elevating the Bucs to their second championship in franchise history. Not only did he accomplish that after changing teams, but he endured a reduced offseason while having to learn a whole new offense, which makes it that much more remarkable.

He ranked second in passing yards on 20-plus-yard throws during the regular season while taking care of the ball better than any Bruce Arians quarterback since 2006. Not to mention, Tampa Bay has re-signed every significant player from last year. Brady will be more familiar and comfortable in the Arians passing attack with even more supporting cast continuity from last year.

The future Hall of Famer finished last season with 65-percent completion percentage and threw for 40 touchdowns and 4,633 yards with a passer rating of 102.2. In the playoffs, Brady threw 10 touchdowns and 1,061 yards with a completion percentage of 58.7 including a rating of 98.1.

PFF ranked Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes first, Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers third, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson fourth, and Texans’ Deshaun Watson fifth.
