The 2021 NFL Draft is officially in the books. The Bucs came out with plenty of depth - which is all they were looking for. Their final haul was EDGE Joe Tryon (1st), QB Kyle Trask (2nd), OL Robert Hainsey (3rd), WR Jaelon Darden (4th), LB K.J. Britt (5th), CB Chris Wilcox (7th), and Mr. Irrelevant Grant Stuard (7th).
All the players taken on day three have a good chance of making the team as special teams contributors while Tryon and Hainsey provide immediate depth. Tryon, of course, will see the field plenty as a rotational and situational pass rusher.
Now that all of the festivities are over, it’s time to turn our attention to undrafted rookies that are signing deals with NFL teams or getting camp invites. The Buccaneers have had some luck in the past with undrafted free agents - most notably tight end Cameron Brate. There’s always a chance that they find a diamond in the rough, but with limited off-season activities it will be tougher than in years past.
Below is the list of players that will be joining the Bucs in some capacity with the most recent tweets appearing first;
Bucs are signing West Virginia receiver T.J. Simmons as a ninth undrafted rookie free agent ... Eight TD catches over last two years for Mountaineers.
