ESPN’s McShay, Kiper release their final mock drafts

Both draft analysts have been set on their projections for Tampa Bay.

ESPN’s dynamic duo of Todd McShay and Mel Kiper, Jr. Two cool dudes. Look hip, too.

Well Buccaneers and NFL Draft fans, it is the day of the draft and ESPN’s draft experts Todd McShay and Mel Kiper, Jr. have released their final mock drafts ahead of tonight’s event.

McShay feels the Bucs will go with Tulsa outside linebacker Zaven Collins, while Kiper feels the Bucs will draft defensive tackle Christian Barmore from Alabama.

McShay:

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Zaven Collins, OLB, Tulsa

The Bucs are bringing back all 22 starters from their Super Bowl roster, so there aren’t many holes. I’ve heard Florida quarterback Kyle Trask as a possibility here as a backup for Tom Brady and potential future starter, but I think he ultimately goes in Round 2. Collins, however, is a heavy hitter who can play different roles at the second level.

Kiper:

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama

The Super Bowl champs could snag Barmore as the eventual replacement for Ndamukong Suh. He’s the best interior pass-rusher in this class. Cornerback Tyson Campbell is another potential fit here

Neither draft analyst has gone in a different direction in their mocks. McShay has had Collins to the Bucs as Kiper has had Barmore to Tampa Bay in their previous mocks.

For those wondering where the ESPN draft experts had Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields go thanks to Chris Simms mocking the stud gunslinger to the Buccaneers at No. 32, both McShay and Kiper have Fields being selected ninth overall by the Denver Broncos.
