This is Episode 8 of Season 3 of the Bucs Nation Podcast. It seems like almost yesterday the Buccaneers were hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, and now we’re just one day away from the NFL Draft.

For some teams, the hopes and dreams of entire cities hang in the balance. Additionally, general managers and head coaches all over the league are just one bad first round pick away from losing their jobs.

The problem? Who actually knows which prospects will pan out? An entire off-season of scouting, interviewing, and debating might lead to a certain level of comfort, but there’s always the possibility that someone makes the wrong decision.

In this episode, we’ll be bringing you our first round mock draft with special guest Evan Wanish of the Cannon Fire Podcast who will help us break down the decisions that we think all 32 NFL teams should make and why. This will all lead up to the 32nd pick where we’ll lay out three possibilities for which prospect might end up playing for your Tampa Bay Buccaneers based on who will be left after the dust settles.

Some of our picks might surprise you, some our picks might confuse you, and some of our picks might make just enough sense to actually be right. Fortunately for us, our futures as NFL front office executives will not hinge on these decisions.

If you’d like to have a little warm up to our mock draft, check out who ESPN Bucs’ reporter Jenna Laine has for us at 32:

It’s all come down to this. All we have to do now is wait for Roger Goodell to walk onto that draft stage in Cleveland, Ohio to say the words... “Good evening, and welcome to the 2021 NFL Draft...”

But until then, come check out our thoughts and don’t forget to tell us what you think.
