This is the Episode 2, Season 3 of the Bucs Nation Podcast. The Bucs have secured the “Top 8” players that they wanted to keep including Gronkowski, David, Barrett, Godwin, Suh, Nunez-Roches, Succop, and Fournette. The only remaining top free agent yet to return back from the Bucs Super Bowl LV championship team is Antonio Brown.
According to Mike Garafolo on Good Morning Football, he reported that the Bucs have expressed a desire for Brown to return and presented an offer, but there is still a gap in money. Likely a situation he’s asking for too much guaranteed according to our own James Yarcho of Bucs Nation.

In Brown’s absence, there have been a lot of rumors surrounding potential replacements like veteran Larry Fitzgerald and other notable receivers. As much as fans would love to see two future hall of famers come together, it’ll be interesting if he’ll be offered anything. Especially because the Bucs could likely get Brown back for less, they could get another younger receiver deep in the draft, and mostly because they have their future secured with Tyler Johnson, Scotty Miller, and Jaydon Mickens. However, as reported by our own Gil Arcia this could be something to watch this offseason.
As the Buccaneers prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft, Jason Licht and Bruce Arians were both questioned recently about what they are planning. Licht said it’s a luxury to be in a position to pick who they think is going to be the best player in two years.
It’s a luxury we have this year that we can pick who we think is going to be the best player in two years.
We’re going to take the long view here and bring in the player that we’re going to be happy with for the long haul.
Licht says the #Bucs always set their draft board based on where they see a player in 2 years, rather than where the player is right now
