As March 17th gets closer and closer, there are a lot of interesting discussions happening across the league. Some big names are being thrown around with heavy speculation around trades and free agency. The Bucs are anticipating to take one of the biggest free agency hits in the league this off season. The Saints will also be taking a substantial hit as well, and they have an even bigger salary cap issue to contend with.

With the looming retirement of Drew Brees, there seems to be a lot of hype around Russell Wilson. The Mayor of New Orleans, LaToya Cantrell, came out recently on social media lobbying for him based on rumors. That could be a huge factor on the NFC South if that were to end up being true. There are a lot of questions surrounding Jameis Winston’s future as well. However, Brees is out there posting workout videos like he’s preparing to make another run at it. What’s really going on in the “Big Easy”?

On this week’s episode of the Bucs Nation Podcast, I’m joined by writer and contributor for the Canal Street Chronicles, and host of the Canal Street Chronicles podcast, Brendan Ertle. Brendan helps us make sense of everything going on behind enemy lines.
