Happy New Year! The NFL’s new league year has officially begun and all those deals that we’ve heard about over the last two days can become official.
Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford have switched teams, the New England Patriots have signed everyone including two elite tight ends, Andy Dalton is a Chicago Bear, A.J. Green is heading to the Cardinals. A huge list of players are changing teams in a year when the salary cap was far lower than anticipated due to the pandemic.
As for the Buccaneers, they’ve brought back Shaquil Barrett, Lavonte David, Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski, extended Tom Brady, and kept Aaron Stinnie in house. Now, they continue to focus their efforts on the remaining players from last season - Ndamukong Suh, Antonio Brown, Leonard Fournette, and Ryan Succop - as well as potentially looking outside the building for any additional help. Could future Hall of Famers Larry Fitzgerald and Adrian Peterson be interested in small roles in the pursuit of a title? Could the Bucs bring in former Patriot running back James White to help as a pass-catching back?
Check out the latest free agency buzz in the thread below!
