The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to be in play to bring back running back Leonard Fournette. But if that doesn’t work, they reportedly have their sights on another free agent running back.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Tampa Bay is looking in potentially making a pitch for free agent running back James White.
There are several teams inquiring about Patriots' free-agent RB James White, including...the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per source.

White is a sure-handed pass catcher out of the backfield. Bucs quarterback Tom Brady went to him often during their days together in New England, and relied on him heavily during their come from behind Super Bowl LI several years back.
If things don’t work out with Fournette, acquiring White may be an even greater possibility — and may come at a lesser price.
