The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense has come out to play so far in this game. The Bucs have controlled the game for the most part as their defense has held Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense to 124 total yards in the first half.

After the Chiefs got things going with a field goal, the Bucs answered with a time consuming drive which was capped off with a Tom Brady pass to Rob Gronkowski. After the Bucs were stopped inside the Chiefs five-yard line in the second quarter, the Buccaneers would then get another Brady-to-Gronkowski touchdown to make it 14-3.

Kansas City would march down the field for an impressive drive after many Mahomes and Travis Kelce connections, but Tampa Bay’s defense held them to a field goal.

But as the half was expiring, Brady and the Bucs took advantage of many Kansas City miscues and penalties as Brady found Antonio Brown in the end zone for another Bucs touchdown.

Tampa Bay leads Kansas City 21-6 as they head into the locker room.

Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is 16-for-20 for 140 and three touchdowns. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is 9-for-19 for 67 yards, and has 33 yards on the ground.
