The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs are preparing to kick off Super Bowl LV inside Raymond James Stadium. We know the storylines, we know the stakes. We also know that, just like every other game this season, there will be game day inactives.
There were questions surrounding Antonio Brown, Cameron Brate, Jordan Whitehead, and Antoine Winfield Jr. all week leading up to the game. However, all those concerns are alleviated as all four will suit up and play in the game.
For the Chiefs, the concern is losing starting left tackle Eric Fisher as well as linebacker Willie Gay. Losing key players like that on both sides of the ball is a big blow for what Kansas City wants to do.
Here are the game day inactives for both teams ahead of the final game of the 2020 NFL Season;
Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
QB - Ryan Griffin
WR - Justin Watson
QB - Drew Stanton
RB - Ke’Shawn Vaughn
DL - Khalil Davis
DL - Jeremiah Ledbetter
TE - Antony Auclair
Kansas City Chiefs:
CB - BoPete Keyes
TE - Ricky Seals-Jones
RB - Darwin Thompson
DE - Tim Ward
QB - Matt Moore
CB - Chris Lammons
DT - Khalen Saunders
The Buccaneers opt to stick with the three-headed monster of Ronald Jones, Leonard Fournette, and LeSean McCoy at running back. Though McCoy hasn’t gotten many opportunities, rookie rusher Ke’Shawn Vaughn has had some issues with ball protection and that isn’t something the Bucs can risk in this game.
It’s the usual suspects for the Bucs on the inactive list from top to bottom, so the team is healthy and ready to roll tonight.
The Buccaneers and Chiefs will kick off Super Bowl LV at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Tracy Wolfson (sideline), Evan Washburn (sideline), and Jay Feely. Gene Steratore serves as Rules Analyst during challenges and replays.
