Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, the Lord of the Rings, won his seventh Super Bowl title this past Sunday. The success will undoubtedly attract players to Tampa Bay and veteran running back Adrian Peterson is no different.
Speaking to TMZ via Pro Football Talk, Peterson said he’d love to play with Brady and the Bucs — if they want him.
“That would definitely be something I’m interested in. If they want me to be a part of it I’ll be a part of it for sure. Because I’m definitely trying to add a trophy to my resume.
“Playing with Tom Brady, that by itself is enticing.”
Peterson, who played under Bucs head coach Bruce Arians in Arizona in 2017 and was texting with Brady during Super Bowl week, has been open about continuing his career. He obviously is campaigning to do just that and feels Brady and the Bucs give him the best shot at a ring.
This isn’t the first time the Buccaneers and Peterson were linked to each other as both sides had interest with one another back in 2015. It’s unclear if that interest is still there six years later from Tampa Bay’s side, but then again, Brady is now involved.
If running back Leonard Fournette were to move on — and he just might — could Peterson truly be an option? We’ll have to wait and see.
