The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today activated nose tackle Vita Vea from the Reserve/Injured list.

Vea (6-4, 347) played in five games with the Buccaneers during the 2020 regular season, recording 10 tackles (three for loss), three quarterback hits and 2.0 sacks. Since being drafted No. 12 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by Tampa Bay, Vea has played in 34 career games, making 29 starts, recording 73 tackles (11 for loss), 19 quarterback hits, 7.5 sacks and three passes defensed. He has been a key cog in the Buccaneers’ run defense which has allowed the least amount of rushing yards in the NFL in consecutive seasons. The Milpitas, California, native and Washington product wears No. 50 for Tampa Bay.

In addition, the Buccaneers waived offensive lineman Earl Watford.
