Monday started off with good news regarding the Bucs and the NFL’s Reserve/COVID-19 list, but that faded quickly once the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced later in the day that backup linebacker Kevin Minter was placed on said list.

It’s still unclear as to whether this is the result of a positive test or close contact. If it is indeed the result of a positive test, then Minter will be forced to quarantine for 10 days regardless of whether or not he’s symptomatic. If it’s close contact, then Minter will have to quarantine for five days. He will be permitted to resume club activities on the sixth day after such last exposure if all his PCR tests, including the fifth testing day, are negative, per the NFL.
Minter stepped up for Devin White, who missed the last two games of the year after being placed on the list. In those two games he racked up 15 combined tackles, four pressures, and two pass deflections on 96% of the Bucs’ defensive snaps.
