The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense just got a bit stronger heading into the Divisional Round matchup with the New Orleans Saints.
The Bucs announced Monday morning that they activated linebacker Devin White and defensive tackle Steve McClendon from the NFL’s Reserve/COVID-19 list after both players missed the season finale against the Atlanta Falcons and the Wild Card matchup against the Washington Football Team.

This is great news for a defense that will be going up against a very good offense in the Saints. White’s presence will undoubtedly help a pass rush that has just 3.0 total sacks in its last two games compared to an average of 3.0 sacks per game over the first 15 games of the season. McClendon will go a long way in helping the Bucs stop the Saints vaunted rushing attack that finished the 2020 season ranked fourth in attempts per game, sixth in yards per game, second in rushing first downs per game, and 10th in yards per attempt.
