The Buccaneers knew heading into week three that they would once again be banged up at the receiver position. This week it was Justin Watson who missed practices and was deemed out well ahead of today’s game. However, it would appear that receiver Tyler Johnson will be active for the first time in his NFL career.
The Broncos are of course one of the most injured teams in the NFL having lost key starters on both sides of the ball. They’re already without quarterback Drew Lock and wide receiver Courtland Sutton from injuries suffered last week and they lost future Hall of Famer Vonn Miller before the season even got started.
Here are the full lists of inactive players for the Bucs and Broncos;
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
QB - Ryan Griffin
WR - Justin Watson
OLB - Cam Gill
DL - Khalil Davis
G - Aaron Stinnie
RB - Ke’Shawn Vaughn
Denver Broncos
QB - Drew Lock
QB - Blake Bortles
CB - Davontae Harris
RB - Phillip Lindsay
G - Netane Muti
TE - Albert Okwuegbunam
TE - Nick Vannett
With the signing and usage of Leonard Fournette, many didn’t believe it would take long for Vaughn to be relegated to an inactive role given his lack of use in both the run game and special teams. Another notable player is standout UDFA Parnell Motley who is active today and could see his first NFL action.
Another thing to watch for is the loss of running back Phillip Lindsay for the Broncos. That puts a lot of pressure on Melvin Gordon against one of the better run defenses in the NFL.
