Bucs sign WR Mickens, activate RB Vaughn

The rookie running back was on the NFL’s Reserve/COVID-19 list.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed wide receiver Jaydon Mickens and activated running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn from the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Mickens (5-11, 170) appeared in one game with the Buccaneers last season. Prior to originally joining Tampa Bay in 2019, he played in 16 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2017-18, recording six receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to fielding 39 punt returns and eight kick returns. The Los Angeles native originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Oakland Raiders during the 2016 offseason.

In 53 collegiate games for Washington, Mickens totaled 203 receptions for 2,187 yards and 12 touchdowns, in addition to picking up 190 yards on 32 career carries (5.9 avg.).
