NFL.com does floor-to-ceiling predictions for Buccaneers

NFL.com dropped a video about the Buccaneers’ outlook in 2020 - from a repeat of last season to playoff bound

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Training Camp Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

NFL.com released a video this week talking about a range of outcomes for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2020 season. You could certainly view it as a way to cover all the bases so it can be referred to later as “being right” despite how the season ends, but the video brings up some interesting questions and points.

You can check out the video here.

As for the discussions - what happens to one of the top offenses in the NFL in 2019 with the loss of Jameis Winston and the addition of Tom Brady? Can the offensive line hold up? Where does the running game rank after Ronald Jones was named the RB1 and they added LeSean McCoy?

On defense, will they improve that 29th scoring defense ranking? Could we see a repeat performance by Shaquil Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul? And finally, what will their record end up being?

David Harrison and I discussed all these points made in the video on the latest Locked on Bucs Podcast, diving into our feelings of the video, especially our gripes with the record predictions. Spoiler alert: they rated the “floor” of this team being a repeat of the 7-9 record from last season, which is just really hard to fathom barring any major injuries to a key player or two.
