Anywhere Tom Brady goes, eyes are sure to follow.
Count President Donald Trump among the following. Brady and Trump share a friendly history, so it’s not much of a surprise when the POTUS comments on his career as a NFL quarterback.
Trump did just so on Tuesday. He came on to Clay Travis’ Outkick The Coverage for an interview and Travis asked him about his thoughts on Brady’s move to Tampa Bay.
“I think he had plenty of teams to go to, and he picked one with – from what I understand – a good offensive line and very good receivers,” Trump said. “He looked at that closely. I think he probably had other choices where they had players.”
“I think he’s gonna do well in Tampa Bay, I think he’ll do well,” he continued. “I don’t know why it would be a surprise, but perhaps it will be. But I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, I think he’s gonna do great.”
One thing’s for certain and that’s when the President speaks, people listen. Don’t be surprised if even more eyes are on Brady and the Buccaneers after Tuesday’s comments.
Here’s the full @outkick interview this morning with @realDonaldTrump. I think you guys will enjoy it: https://t.co/lVtIroSpG5
