Tyler Johnson and Khalil Davis can now say they are officially members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Both players agreed to their rookie contracts on Monday, the day before most rookies are slated to report to training camp. They are the first picks to do so, which leaves five more players currently without deals. Tristan Wirfs, Antoine Winfield Jr., Ke’Shawn Vaughn, Chapelle Russell, and Raymond Calais have yet to sign with the team.
Johnson, the team’s fifth round pick, announced the signing via Instagram. Technically, Davis isn’t signed yet, but he and the team have finalized terms and the Bucs’ sixth round pick will sign when he arrives in Tampa Bay, per Greg Auman of The Athletic.
Bucs have finalized terms on a rookie contract for sixth-round pick Khalil Davis, the defensive tackle from Nebraska. He’ll sign as soon as he arrives in Tampa, likely on Wednesday.
