Players have been lobbying for it and now they may be getting it.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the league has offered the NFLPA no preseason games in 2020.
There was an initial offer Monday of one preseason game next month. But it seems that ongoing discussions between both sides are heating up as training camp gets closer and rookies begin reporting.
Many have asked what a limited preseason will do for the Buccaneers and new quarterback Tom Brady when the initial proposal was two games before the regular season. However, now with no preseason games, Tampa Bay will have to get creative and hope Brady and the offense can find a rhythm during a revised conditioning program.
