It’s official. The Buccaneers have re-signed quarterback Blaine Gabbert, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

The Bucs have re-signed the 10-year veteran to a one-year deal. He was with the team in 2019, but he suffered a shoulder injury during the preseason that caused him to be placed on IR in late September.
Gabbert, 30, will enter his third season under Bruce Arians and will be the backup to Tom Brady. The cool (or crazy) thing about the whole situation is that it may be Gabbert who actually teaches Brady a thing or two about Arians’ offense in order to help get him up to speed.
The former Missouri Tiger is 13-35 as a starter and has completed 56.2% of his passes for 9,063 yards, 48 touchdowns and 47 interceptions over the course of his career.
