Batten Down the Hatches: News from around the NFC South for 3/06/2020

Back for another look around the division as the work week comes to an end. There was news all across the division as some signings and even a trade took place. Let’s catch up on our division rivals now.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints are expected to have a coaching addition by way of Maryland as Cory Robinson is expected to fill the vacant defensive backs coaching position. Robinson is expected to fill the spot of coach Leigh Torrence who left for the Jets.

Carolina Panthers

For the Panthers, defensive end Chris Smith is signing a 1 year deal with the Panthers. Some may remember the tragedy that his the Smith family in September as he lost his girlfriend after being struck by a car. The Panthers biggest news of the week came by way of a trade as they sent Trai Turner to the Chargers for Russel Okung.

Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons news isn’t quite the headline that the Panthers had this week but the resigning of John Wetzel is news none the less. The interesting part of this signing is the fact that days earlier... Wetzel was cut... by the Falcons.
