As Bucs Nation’s Evan Winter put it, you guys tired of the Tom Brady news yet?
It’s #RumorSZN in the NFL. Information is often shared and when you have a future Hall of Fame quarterback you are going to get news flowing often. This offseason, the Buccaneers are heavily involved in the sense that they may be major players in the Tom Brady sweepstakes.
According to CBS Sports’ John Breech, he suggests the team with the biggest and best odds to reel in Brady is your Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
A, it gets you out of the AFC; there’s no Patrick Mahomes to worry about ... (and) you don’t want to go up against Belichick,” John Breech argued. “No. 2, Bruce Arians, his pitch is going to be, ‘Look, man, I’m 67 years old. I’m not coaching for five more years. I’m coaching for, like, two more years ... I want to win right now, (and) I’ve got all these offensive weapons. I just feel like the Bucs have the best selling point as far as the most potential to win right now.
Of course, all this hinders on the impending decision between the Bucs and Jameis Winston. But as we have said often on this very site, where there is smoke there is fire. And there sure has been a lot of smoke clouding news feeds.
Check out the podcast below as the guys have a roundtable discussion on Brady’s future with some heavy Bucs talk while connecting dots.
