The reported interest in Tom Brady by the Buccaneers is well documented and it appears to continue to become more apparent that there is some validity to it. Of course, we won’t know for a fact until next week. But still.
The latest comes from Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Stroud reports that not only should we think the Bucs are interested in Brady, it is a fact that the plan is to go after him hard.
If we reach the legal free-agent tampering period Monday at noon and Brady is behind Door No. 2, Bruce Arians and the Glazer family will try to kick that sucker down for Touchdown Tommy.
TB12 for TB’20.
This is not hype. It’s hope. This is fact, not fantasy. This is the plan. This is the Bucs’ play.
Are you buying in yet? It sure is sounding more and more likely this is the reality of their quarterback situation.
Stround goes on to say that the order of interest in quarterbacks outside Jameis Winston is Brady first, followed by Teddy Bridgewater and then Philip Rivers. In fact, he says Winston isn’t the plan and that they’re “all in” on Brady.
This roller coaster hasn’t even reached the top of its climb yet. So strap in, folks.
