Report: Buccaneers willing to give Tom Brady everything he wants in a new team

Plenty of smoke, with new reports of fire, in Tampa

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

There has been plenty of quarterback talk pertaining to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and what they might do in the near future. Now, as we get closer and closer to the opening of free-agency and the new league year, it appears the rumors surrounding rumors of Tampa’s interest in Tom Brady may be real.

At least, according to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, who talked about the status of the future Hall of Fame quarterback on ‘Get Up’, saying,

“I talked to Tampa Bay. They would love to have Tom Brady. They are willing to give Tom Brady the thing’s he needs, he wants, and some of those things Brady wants - control of the roster, he wants to be part of at least making decisions on play-calling.”

This obviously isn’t the first time a national reporter has commented about having knowledge beyond the surface about interest between either side of the Buccaneers and Tom Brady conversation.

At the end of the day, interest between player and team is not enough to get a deal done all of the time, as each side will have to weigh just how much they need from the other and how much they’re willing to give.

All of this is just a preview of course, to the full on hysteria - or dramatic thud - which will accompany the news sure to come in the next week, once it becomes clear where Tom Brady will play football in 2020.
