Jameis Winston gets his eyes fixed

But the future is still unclear.

We can officially say the internet rumors were confirmed.

The spokesperson for Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times that Winston did in fact have LASIK done to improve his eyesight.

Jameis did not want to count out any options that he had that could possibly help him with the game he loves so much. He doesn’t want to miss out on any opportunity that presents itself. This is the game he loves and he wants to be the best at it and if there are any options that can improve his game he is willing to do it.’

Good for the young man. Even if it wasn’t for the game “he loves” it’s a procedure done to improve the quality of life, sight-wise.

But this doesn’t mean it will improve his performance. Winston threw 30 interceptions in 2019. That’s more than his previous two seasons combined with less attempts. That leads one to believe how much of it was truly the system — which has been questioned often right here on Bucs Nation.

Worth mentioning also, via Joe Bucs Fan, that Winston had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee as well.

We’ll have to wait and see how all this benefits the former first overall pick, if at all. But first we have to wait and see where he plays in 2020 and beyond.
