The Vikings are essentially outplaying the Buccaneers. But a missed extra point and missed field goal by Minnesota’s Dan Bailey has kept the Bucs in the game before they finally jumped ahead before the half.

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers struggled for about a quarter and a half until Brady hit Scotty Miller deep for a 48-yard touchdown in the second quarter. The veteran quarterback has thrown for 131 yards and has a quarterback rating of 118.5. Runningback Ronald Jones II has been the lone ball carrier in the game for the Bucs and has rushed for 33 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown which came with under a minute to play in the second quarter. Kicker Ryan Succop added three more as the half ended.

Defensively, Tampa Bay didn’t have an answer for the Vikings running game and Dalvin Cook. The former Florida State product has rushed for 78 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown. Kirk Cousins has also thrown the ball well and is 10-for-15 for 97 yards. But as previously stated, the missed kicks by Bailey has certainly left Minnesota frustrated as they lead the time of position battle by more than 10 minutes.

Tampa Bay leads 17-6 as the teams head into their respective locker rooms.
