Well, that sucked.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a great shot at making a major statement in front of a national audience on Sunday Night Football, but couldn’t get the job done thanks to Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Tampa Bay’s division rival destroyed the Bucs, 38-3, and made them look more like a 2-6 team rather than a 6-2 one.
Instead of a 7-2 record with a with a one game lead over the 5-3 Saints, the Bucs now find themselves in second in place looking up to the Saints.
Sunday Night Football showed a graphic that said Tampa Bay’s chances of winning the NFC South would drop from the mid-60 percentile to the mid-30 percentile if the Bucs were to lose this game. So, it certainly looks like an uphill battle from here.
