A defensive battle so far.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense continues to play as one of the top units in the league. Nick Foles and the Chicago Bears offense has struggled and struggled often throughout the first half.

Cornerback Carlton Davis III intercepted Foles in the first quarter after contesting the pass to Allen Robinson. On the Bucs ensuing drive, quarterback Tom Brady connected with wide receiver Mike Evans for a touchdown. Tampa Bay’s defense has played well, holding Chicago to 19 yards rushing.

Two false start penalties by Donovan Smith did cause some visible frustration from Brady in the second quarter on a drive Tampa Bay was moving the ball well, resulting in a field goal. Chances for more points have been left out on the field.

The Bears did get two touchdowns before the half to make it 14-13, the second touchdown coming off of a Buccaneers turnover inside their own 30-yard line.
