We knew heading into this game that Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin and running back Leonard Fournette would not be active due to hamstring and ankle injuries. There was some doubt over whether or not wide receiver Scotty Miller would be able to play and that he was going to test his hip/groin injury in pregame warm-ups before making the decision as to whether or not he could go.
Good news for Bucs fans is that Miller will be playing which alleviates some of the pressure on Mike Evans today against the Chargers.
Here is the full inactive lists for each team;
Tampa Bay Buccaneers;
WR - Chris Godwin
RB - Leonard Fournette
OLB - Cam Gill
G - Aaron Stinnie
DL - Khalil Davis
QB - Ryan Griffin
Los Angeles Chargers
OT - Bryan Bulaga
G - Trai Turner
WR - Mike Williams
OT - Storm Norton
S - Jahleel Addae
QB - Tyrod Taylor
The Buccaneers’ pass rush may be in for a big day with the Chargers missing two key offensive linemen in Turner and Bulaga to help protect rookie quarterback Justin Herbert.
For the second straight week, Bucs’ rookie wide receiver Tyler Johnson is active and expected to get some playing time in the absence of Chris Godwin while we might also see the debut of rookie running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn who will be ready to go in Fournette’s absence.
The Buccaneers and Chargers kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
