Per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Bucs wide receiver Chris Godwin fractured his index finger during his touchdown reception against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Godwin had surgery on Tuesday and will miss the Bucs’ Monday Night Football matchup against the New York Giants, but he could return by Week 9 for a pivotal division matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Godwin’s Week 8 absence will mark his fourth missed game of the season. He currently has 25 receptions for 279 yards and two touchdowns on the year.
