Buccaneers vs. Packers: Five Bold Predictions

Yarcho is looking to defend his crown from last week.

James Yarcho finally hit one of his bets on Ronald Jones II, as the third-year back proved Yarcho right by registering his second-straight 100-yard rushing game of the 2020 season and the third of his career last week.

Can James go back-to-back with another correct bold prediction?

Bailey: So, Devin White wants Todd Bowles to unleash him on Sunday against one of the league’s best offenses, huh? Well, I’m going to echo White’s confidence in himself here by saying he delivers big-time in this game, putting up his second career multi-sack performance. He’s been quiet in recent weeks and is without a sack so far this season, but I think the second-year linebacker wakes up in this one and makes life difficult for Aaron Rodgers.

David: Aaron Rodgers has yet to throw an interception. In fact, the Packers offense as a whole has yet to have a turnover. It’s because of this, I predict Ronald Jones II will extend his 100-yard rushing streak to three games, and just because I live for today I also predict Scotty Miller will have 100-yards receiving.

Evan: So, we know the Pack can score points. They already have two 40burgers on the season and average 38 points per game. In fact, Green Bay set a new team record for the most points through its first three games this year.

Well, Tampa Bay changes that, at least for this week. The Bucs hold the Packers to just 21 points in Sunday’s contest.

James: The Packers have been incredible this year at protecting the football. No interceptions from Aaron Rodgers, no lost fumbles, not a single turnover through four games. That changes Sunday. The Bucs will get not one, but two takeaways by both intercepting A-A-Ron as well as forcing and recovering a fumble. That will be the difference in this pivotal week six match-up.

Jason: I was going to go with a Rodgers interception, but James beat me to it. Rodgers will no doubt try to pick apart the struggling Bucs secondary, but he can’t deny their defensive line.

The Packers have allowed 1 sack per game since week 2. I’m one-upping that and saying the Bucs get 2 sacks on Rodgers this Sunday.

Editor’s Pick by Gil Arcia: I’m going with Bailey this week. I feel Devin White is due to breakout and Week 6 poses the right matchup for him to do so.

But I’ll be honest. I’m surprised none of these guys predicted Aaron Rodgers going off on the Buccaneers secondary and getting his “Rodgers Rate” this afternoon, because that could happen. Just sayin’.
