There’s not much going on surrounding the Buccaneers this time of year, but it doesn’t mean that people aren’t talking.
JC Cornell of the Draft Network has been really glued in to the Bucs and said Monday that Tampa Bay may already their eyes set on the immediate and distant future. It may include a veteran under center to show the way for a rookie.
A lot of talk about Philip Rivers to the Buccaneers as a bridge QB to Jacob Eason.

I have heard Jacob Eason buzz to the Buccaneers since mid season. Belief is he has all the talent in the world but is raw. That’s why Philip Rivers makes sense.

Acquiring Philip Rivers if they decide to move on from Jameis Winston wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing. But that’s just a short-term scenario. The intriguing thing about Cornell’s tweets is the mention of Washington Huskies quarterback Jacob Eason.
Cornell has some intel. However, NFL reporter Benjamin Allbright, who is also plugged-in well across the league with sources, reported that team executives across the league feel that Rivers to the Bucs is a thing as well as their interest in Eason.
Team executives are down in Mobile for the Senior Bowl and already, PFN Insider @AllbrightNFL is hearing chatter regarding Philip Rivers to the #Buccaneers.

But he's also hearing who the Bucs and Chargers are taking a good look at in the 2020 NFL Draft.https://t.co/UdU3c0nN7B
We’re still in January and it seems like the Buccaneers have been a featured team of the month when it comes to rumors surrounding the quarterback position. The best part is there is still a ways to go for any decisions to be made.
Keep holding on, folks. This ride is far from over.
