Open thread for Week 1: Buccaneers vs. 49ers

Tampa Bay is hosting the San Francisco 49ers today at Raymond James Stadium. Why? Because Week 1 of the 2019 regular season is finally here!

There are so many things to talk about today: head coach Bruce Arians debut, the return of former Bucs linebacker Kwon Alexander, a new look Buccaneers offense, a new look Buccaneers defense, etc. How will Tampa Bay handle all of that?

Fortunately for the Buccaneers, Week 1 presents a challenge for the 49ers. San Francisco was more than likely unable to properly prepare for Tampa Bay because of the new schemes on each side of the ball so there’s not much for the 49ers to go off of. However, on the flip side, this can also pose a problem for the Bucs as well because they will have to implement a new style of play against an opponent for the first time under Arians.

The first week of the season will surely be an interesting one so enjoy each other’s company in Week 1’s Bucs gameday open thread!
