Solving the Winston debate with data not bias!

No player has ever divided the fan base more then Winston. I sat down today and decided to make a final determination on what the truth is about his career here. I wanted a decsion based on facts and date free of emotion or any kind of bias. Most of our fan base are not capable of this. One half beleives he is hall of fame first time ballot we call them Seminoles. The other half beleive Winston is awful but could they have a built in bias? We grew up watching white Qbs be the hero the Elways the Marinos, Farves could some of our fans have a unintentional bias from years of watching football perhaps.

I set out to find the truth. I used Qb rating because after deep thought it is the most complete data or stat used for Qb takes in every stat possible from a Qb adds them together to get a rating. The higher the rating for the Qb the better your team does i think Qb rating really captures the success of the Qb. Fir example the year we won superbowl Johnson haf highest rating. The year the Freeman had his highest rating bucs won 10 games. The year Winston had his highest he won most games of his career. Qb rating is a reliable data driven testimony of how good a Qb is so what is the truth about Winston?

First lets talk about the average from the year one to year 4 of his career i the NFL. The average playoff Qb had a rating of 94 i rounded to make things easier so average playoff Qbs over last 4 years had a rating of 94.

Next lets look at the average Qb in the league that average is 91 amongst qualifying passers. Now we have some resl unbiasef data so playoff Qb average 94 the mean or middle of the pack Qb average is 91. So lets look at Winston see how far away he really is at being a playoff Qb or a average Qb.

Winston Qb rating over 4 years was higher then i expected it is a 88. Over his 4 years here he was above average once below average once and way below average twice.

The final verdict is his 88 average means he is when compared fairly to other Qb below average. When compared to playoff caliber Qb he is way below average. Taking out any bias at all the facts are the facts he is not the worst Qb in the league but he is in bottom 1/3 over those 4 years. He is a very below average Qb data wise. I hope this helps some of you final come to grips with the fact that its probably time to move on. Its a Qb driven league and below average dont get it done.

So far this year his rating is 69.2 which puts in almost dead last. In fact his best year was year two of his career he is getting worse ever year statistics wise.
