Todd Bowles defense helping Winston, Buccaneers offense prepare for the regular season

Not much should come to a surprise when week one hits

After struggling the first week of training camp, it really seems as if Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense is starting to find its groove.

A big part of the early struggles was due to the fact that the offense had not seen any of the major installments from Todd Bowles and the defense, so it was only natural for the struggles to take place.

With that being said, it seems as if the last few practices, the offense is starting to consistently get the better of the defense. During his Tuesday morning press conference with the media, Winston eluded to the fact that all the different looks Bowles is throwing at him is only helping him prepare for the regular season.

“It really works out in our favor because we get to see every look in the book, and I think that’s what makes this defense so good with Coach [Todd] Bowles,” Winston said. “He does a lot of different looks and it’s good for our receivers to see that, it’s definitely good for me to see that from a pressure standpoint, and our offensive line. So, it makes this whole team better.”

With the vanilla defenses the Buccaneers have ran in the past, it only makes sense as to why some weeks the team struggles to get their feed under them on game days. With Bowles and Arians in charge, I don’t foresee that being an issue anymore.

Expect Winston to not be surprised by much of anything on a week to week basis.
