The Buccaneers have waived former second round pick Noah Spence according to Ian Rapoport;
Surprising move by the #Bucs as they are waiving starting OLB and former 2nd round pick Noah Spence. With JPP out for at least 6 weeks, look for Tampa to add to edge depth.

As Rapoport says, it’s a surprise move considering Jason Pierre-Paul is expected to miss at least six weeks. Spence played well in the preseason, but never lived up to being a second round pick.
There were high hopes for him in Todd Bowles’ system, allowing him to return to his natural position of a 3-4 outside linebacker.
Hopefully Spence will find opportunity elsewhere and be able to revitalize his career.
