The Buccaneers received some good news in the form of linebacker Lavonte David’s health. David, who had a minor knee procedure to address a meniscus tear, has been medically cleared to return.
We'll have No. 5️⃣4️⃣ when we take the field in our season opener against the 49ers.#GoBucs

The tandem of David and rookie Devin White in the interior of the linebacking corps is expected to be a formidable one. Add to that the impact second year player Jack Cichy had in preseason and the outside presences of Carl Nassib, Deone Bucanon, Shaq Barrett, and Jason Pierre-Paul (once he returns) and this has the makings of one of the best linebacker corps in the league.
David has been out since the beginning of training camp, but that won’t effect his ability to see the field. The only limitations he’ll face are how much he can endure physically until he’s back to full strength.
