The XFL is rapidly approaching and this time around, money-bags Vince McMahon appears to be doing thing right rather than rushing through and sabotaging himself. On Wednesday, Commissioner Oliver Luck announced the team names and unveiled the logos of the initial eight teams. Here is a quick video of the announcement for your Tampa Bay Vipers;
Hunters by instinct. Cold-blooded by nature.

A solid name for sure, but the logo sent it over the top. Here are a few looks;

Very well done by the XFL. Incorporating a snake eye that doubles as the primary “V” was a beautiful touch.
Now, how the green/black/gold color scheme will work inside a very red and pewter Raymond James Stadium is yet to be determined. The next big step will be the uniform unveilings where we’ll get a look at how they put together the Vipers’ look for the inaugural season.
XFL President and COO Jeffrey Pollack said;
“The XFL is about football and fun, and our team identities are intended to signify just that. Now it’s up to our fans and players to help write the story. What happens on the field and in the community in the years ahead will determine the true spirit of each team.”
The other team names are the St. Louis Battlehawks, Los Angeles Wildcats, Houston Roughnecks, New York Guardians, Dallas Renegades, DC Defenders, and Seattle Dragons.
