Evans also recently missed practice as he is nursing some sort of undisclosed injury, but speculation is that it is a quad or groin injury although nothing has been officially reported on the matter.
As long as Evans is healthy come week one, missing a few practices or preseason games isn’t important for someone of Evans’ stature or reputation. We know what he can do on the field and the most important thing at the moment is his health. A long term injury to Evans could very well derail the team early on - and with their schedule, it would be hard to bounce back from.
More on the Evans injury to come as more information becomes available.
