We have agreed to terms with first-round pick Devin White.

Although money has not yet been disclosed, it’s a standard for first round picks in terms of contract length. White will have a four year deal with a fifth year option.
Despite the backlash among some fans for drafting an inside linebacker in the top five, White will be one of the key focal points of the Buccaneers’ defense and will have a lot of responsibility thrust upon his young shoulders immediately.
White has already been touted as a vastly intelligent football player as well as a natural leader. His versatility and quick read-and-react abilities will be key in Todd Bowles’ defensive scheme which brings pressure from all directions while keeping them disguised and asks a lot of his linebackers in terms of pass rush, run stopping, tackling, and coverage.
We will update with contract details as they become available.
