With the calm before the storm currently in play as the NFL off-season continues on, this past week some odds to win the AP NFL MVP award surfaced. Familiar names we’d all expect surrounded the top of the list with the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Andrew Luck making the top three. You can find the full list shared via twitter at the bottom.
For a pair of Buccaneers, Jameis Winston and Mike Evans, MVP honors according to the odds makers could be a possibility despite the 100/1 odds currently being dealt. In what ultimately should be a make or break year for Jameis Winston’s career, those odds feel worth the risk of betting on the young controversial quarterback. As for Evans, his 100/1 odds seem fair, especially given the situation at hand where Winston and Evans success are heavily dependent on one another.
Around the league, there are some interesting names ahead of Winston and Evans. Cleveland’s new found hope otherwise known as Baker Mayfield was given 25/1 odds. Cam Newton comes in at 60/1, same as Texans quareterback Deshaun Watson and just ahead of Alvin Kamara at 80/1.
What say you Buccaneer fans? Will you find yourself betting on Jameis Winston and Mike Evans this season or would you rather put your money elsewhere? Bruce Arians surely will be putting his money on Jameis. Will the house win?
